After a lot of speculation and uncertainty, NFL great Peyton Manning made it official by signing a reported 5 year $96 million deal to become the next quarterback for the Denver Broncos. With that question put to rest, attention now turns to the fate and future of up and coming quarterback Tim Tebow.
After a strong performance in this past season, leading the Denver Broncos to one of their best seasons in years, Tim Tebow’s future is now in question. There is a lot of talk about possible trades with Tebow to other teams including Jacksonville, Miami and the Jets.
During the press briefing, Peyton Manning indicated that he was impressed by Tebow and would be happy to play with him in Denver and also said that he felt the Tebow would have a good future if he went to another team saying, “I know what kind of player Tim Tebow is, what kind of person he is, what an awesome year it was. If Tim Tebow is here, I’m going to be the best teammate. If other opportunities are presented to him, I’m going to wish him the best.”
Some experts feel that keeping Tebow with the Broncos would be good for Tebow and the future of the Broncos after Manning retires. With all of the potential that Tebow has, an apprenticeship under one of the top quarterbacks in the league could eventually make Tebow into a premier QB in the NFL.
But keeping Tebow with the team may prove to expensive given the interest which has been reported from several teams in the league. Many around the NFL say that a trade for Tebow could be completed by the end of this week, if not sooner.
