Yankees Hold Little League Clinic

Little League Baseball Clinic

Little League Baseball Clinic

Members of the New York Yankees organization will hold a free clinic for little league baseball players in a suburb of Orlando, FL at the end of February. It is unclear at this time which members of the major league team may attend the clinic.

The free clinic, on February 26th, will be held in conjunction with the opening day of the spring season for the Little League in the town of Apopka, FL. The town is the home to the 2000 Little World Series team. The team won the national championship that year, but later lost in the World Series game against Japan.

The clinic will cover all major aspects of game play including hitting, pitching, fielding and base running. According to the head of the city’s baseball activities, Rod Brewer, for players already registered for the Apopka Little League, there is no need to also register for the clinic. Children who do not already play would need to register for the clinic, but there is no fee to do so.
