The revenue growth for Amazon was more than 2% over what the analysts had expected from the company.

According to Amazon, the revenue numbers were up across the board on products including consumer electronics as well as various media, including books, music, video and ebooks.

The growing popularity of the Kindle Fire HD, especially going into the holiday gift buying season, will likely continue the revenue growth for Amazon. Shoppers using the holiday discounts for buying the Kindle Fire HD and other Kindle products, as well as all of the downloadable content, ebooks, etc. should keep Amazon well into the black.

The company expects to see earnings in the 4th quarter, driven by the holiday shopping season, to see another 10% to 25% of growth.
