Ashton Kutcher Confirmed “Two and a Half Men” Replacement for Charlie Sheen

ashton kutcherAccording to a recent report from TMZ, Ashton Kutcher has officially signed on to join the cast of “Two and a Half Men” on CBS next fall. The final deal was announced this morning after a lot of speculation on the internet and in the media.

Twitter posts from Kutcher and media reports based on conversations with insiders all pointed to Ashton taking over for Charlie Sheen whose departure was virtually a certainty.

According to TMZ, Kutcher has inked a deal which will earn him something more than half of Sheen’s $1.2 million per episode base pay. The exact figure isn’t clear but it is reportedly more than half ($625,000) but less than $900,000.

Kutcher will not take over Sheen’s role as Charlie Harper, but will instead play a new character. From reports, executive producer Chuck Lorre met with Ashton and has developed a character which will be introduced to audiences in a way that, according to inside sources, is really funny and viewers will love.

Also returning for the 9th season of Two and a Half Men will be cast members including Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.
