George Anthony Sobs on the Stand during Casey Anthony Murder Trial talking about his suicide attempt
On the stand yesterday, as viewers watched the Casey Anthony trial, they saw Casey’s father George Anthony completely sobbing during testimony. Mr. Anthony was on the stand answering questions about molestation accusations by his daughter. It was after a heated exchange with defense attorney Jose Baez regarding George’s suicide attempt that he broke down on the stand.
Meter reader Roy Kronk, who found Caylee’s remains was also back on the stand for more testimony and questions from the defense. The late afternoon was filled with expert testimony from a woman from Tallahassee who was a self-proclaimed “trama-tologist”, in that she has a background working with grieving families and individuals who have lost a loved one.
While she had never interviewed Casey, and said that she had no knowledge of the case, she was brought in by the defense to talk about hypothetical scenarios and how people may act when grieving. As has been the case with most of the defense’s witnesses and experts, the prosecution was able to use them to their advantage and discredit most of what they had done to help the defense.
