Casey Anthony Trial Continues: Watch Live Streaming Internet Video for Latest Updates on Day 4 for the Defense

UPDATE: Judge Halts trial this morning, warning the attorneys for both sides that they need to stop delaying the proceedings and “act professionally”. The judge told both sides to prepare for court at 8:30 AM on Tuesday and prepare to have the lunch break shortened and have a full day of court on Saturday.

This all came after the prosecution asked for more time to prepare for a cross-examination of some of the witnesses for the defense.

“The only thing I’m going to say is this, folks: I’m getting very, very close to starting this proceeding every morning at 8:30,” said the judge. “I know that would bring some problems, but at the same time, I’ve been trying to be accommodating with the work schedule for everyone. But I have a sequestered jury who live under severe restrictions.”

Broadcast of the trial proceedings take place Monday-Saturday from about 9AM to 5PM Eastern Time, with a break for lunch from 12-1:30. Video Coverage Continues Today – Watch Casey Anthony Trial Live Here:

After a single day off for the jury and all involved in the case, the murder trial of Casey Anthony, picks up where it left off on Saturday. The defense will continue to attempt to discredit the prosecution’s witnesses and have their own experts testify in an attempt to poke holes in the prosecution’s case.

In the wake of the fights which broke out in the line to get in to see the trial, in the pre-dawn hours before court began on Friday, a new process is in place for those wishing to attend the trial in person. Anyone who wants to get in to watch the trial in person now has to be in line at the courthouse at 4PM the day prior to get their name on the list. The first 50 people will then be able to come back the next morning, present their ID and gain admittance.

Casey Anthony is on trial for the 2008 murder of her then 2 year old daughter Caylee Anthony. Anthony did not report her daughter missing until a month had gone by, and then only reported it when her mother, Cindy Anthony, called the police.

From the beginning of the highly publicized search for the little girl, and throughout it until her body was discovered, Casey continually lied to investigators even as the searched for her little girl. It was her lack of cooperation, sending police on wild goose chases, which quickly led police to suspect Casey of the child’s disappearance and ultimately her murder.

The defense will continue with its witness list as the trail resumes today at 9AM eastern.
