The woman who introduced Dr. Oz to the world aired her final “farewell” episode after 25 years on Friday. Oprah Winfrey first had Dr Oz on her show back in 2004, and since that time, he has grown in populatity and his “The Doctors” show has been a hit.

Reportedly, Dr. Oz is still active as a heart surgeon while appearing on camera every week day to offer health tips and answer health related questions. This season on the show will be no different.

According to a recent television interview conducted by Vanessa Echols of Orlando Florida’s WFTV Channel 9, Oz plans to focus a lot of attention on weight loss in upcoming shows.

“I am going to tackle weight loss in a way that you have never seen before. We are going to have women proudly displaying their bellies as they get rid of weight they don’t want to carry,” said Dr. Oz during the interview.

Dr. Oz is hosting a health campaign and competition, beginning on September 19th, in which his show will give away one million dollars. “Do you know what the loser gets? Millions of them? They will be healthier,” said Dr. Oz.

“We are going to be talking about something that is in your apple juice that shocked me, that will change your perspective. It got me and the audience up in arms. I am going to be talking about that the first week,” said Dr. Oz.
