As millions tune in to televisions around the globe, millions of others will watch the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremonies online for free. With the closing ceremonies set to begin tonight, there are still several final gold medals up for grabs in final Olympic competitions today. Currently scheduled on the final day of competition are gold medal finals in Basketball, 5 in Boxing, Cycling, Handball, Modern Pentathlon, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Volleyball, Water Polo, Track & Field, and 2 finals in Wrestling.
While not all of the final gold medal matches will be seen on television, every one of them can be seen on the NBCOlympics.com web site. The final day of competition will complete all 32 Olympic events which have been available to watch online for free at this year’s Olympic games.
While no one is sure exactly what to expect at tonight’s closing ceremonies, it is certain to be spectacular. There has been some speculation that Adele will be among the acts to perform during the Closing Ceremonies. Almost certainly the Queen and the Royal Family will be on hand, and no doubt some celebrity surprises await as London closes the 2012 Summer Olympic games.
