NASA Ames Awards $20 Million Contract to ASRC Research and Technology Solutions

According to a statement from the nations space agency, the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, California has awarded ASRC Research and Technology Solutions (ARTS) with a $20 million contract to provide engineering, design and fabrication services.

The award has a maximum value of $20 million, but has the potential to cost the agency less as it a a cost plus fixed fee indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery model. ARTS is classified as a large business and is based out of Greenbelt, Maryland.

The contract runs from Dec. 20, 2011 through Dec. 31, 2012.

According to the statement, “Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide a variety of services, including: project management, systems engineering, hardware and software design and development, mechanical and electronic fabrication services, integration and testing, technical writing, configuration management and other ancillary functions, such as receiving and inspection, and shipping incidental to the work which will be performed at NASA Ames.”
