New ‘Through the Wormhole’ Episode Examines whether Humans will Evolve into RobotsWatch on Science channel airing this Wednesday , July 10th at 10PM ET

As humans eventually evolve to become robots in the distant future? Host of the Science Channel’s ‘Through the Wormhole’, Morgan Freeman, explores whether technology will eventually evolve to the point of being more capable than human beings a new episode of the program scheduled to air on Science Channel his Wednesday, July 10th at 10PM ET/PT.

The upcoming episode examines how the future of the human race could be at risk due to our ever growing reliance on technology. As a race, humans currently use technology to perform many of the simplest of tasks in everyday lives. Now, as technology continues to improve and the need for basic human input becomes less, what will our future look like.

The question posed this week is “whether humans will continue to encourage machines to take on a life of their own and become robots, or if we will choose instead to combine our worlds.” Ultimately this decision, explains the show, “could determine the fate of human evolution!”

In a press release last week, the Discovery Channel commented on its hit show, currently in its fourth season, explaining that THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN, “dares to take on some of today’s most controversial topics. They boldly question mankind’s most vexing queries, digging deep into the innermost workings of the mind and searching through the complexities of the universe. Some questions tackled this season include, “Is Reality Real?”, “Do We Have Free Will?”, and “Did God Create Evolution?” The questions probed are not only entertaining, but also continue to incite the curiosity of viewers in SCIENCE’s most popular series.”
