2012 Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney was photographed with President Obama on Thursday this week making her now famous “Not Impressed” face as a joke. The facial expression from Maroney made headines during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London this past summer.
While the 16 year old Maroney may have won Gold and Silver medals for the United States in women’s Olympics, it was her expression of disappointment, after falling during the landing after an otherwise near perfect routine, for which many may remember her.
Maroney has reportedly taken the mixed reaction from the press and the images in stride, maintaining her sense of humor about the situation. During a White House visit with President Obama, McKayla posed for this image and posted on her twitter page saying,
“Did I just do the Not Impressed face with the President..?”
