Snow Hinders the Vikings Again

Two weeks ago, the Minnesota Vikings had to postpone their game for a day and move it to Detroit when snow caused the roof of their stadium to collapse. Then last week they had to play their game agains Chicago using the University of Minnesota’s stadium. Unlike the comfort of the Metrodome, Viking fans had to endure the elements during the game against the Bears as the University’s stadium is outdoors.

Today, the decision was made to postpone the Vikings game against the Philadelphia Eagles because of the massive snowstorm in the eastern U.S. The game which would have aired tonight is being moved to Tuesday night so as not to conflict with Monday night’s game between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints.

While football is a game typically played in all types of weather, the N.F.L. said the postponement was based more on concern for the public traveling to and from the game rather than playing conditions.
