UPS Cargo airplane Crashes in Alabama – Crash Video Reports onlineNumerous media outlets are reporting and airing video in the wake of a United Parcel Service (UPS) cargo plane crash which occurred just around 6 am today. The crash, which reportedly killed the two UPS pilots on board happened during the approach to land at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, near downtown Birmingham Alabama.

In the news video, uploaded to youtube, the report shows the crashed UPS Airbus 320 engulfed in flames just moments after the crash, about a half mile from the approach end of the runway. UPS Flight 1354 was a cargo flight from the company’s operational hub in Louisville, Kentucky.



According to reports, it took firefighters close to an hour and a half to put out the fire which included at least two explosions after the crash.

Other than the two pilots, there are currently no reports of other injuries as a result of the plane crash this morning. The NTSB has been on scene and will release its findings when they complete their investigation.

UPS released a statement after the crash in which its president Mitch Nichols said, “this incident is very unfortunate, and our thoughts and prayers are with those involved.”
