Yet another hit ratings draw for Jimmy Fallon on Friday night, capping off what has been one of the biggest ratings weeks ever for the Tonight Show. Fallon, with guest Justin Timberlake, wowed the audience and viewers performing their 5th volume of the “History of Rap”.

After sitting down, Fallon and Timberlake looked at each other for a moment, and then each pulled out a microphone. The crowd erupted as they realized what was coming next.

Last night was no different. The duo broke into song as Fallon’s incredible band on the Tonight Show “The Roots” performed flawlessly, quickly transitioning from one song to the next.

Today, viewers watching the Timberlake – Fallon “History of Rap” video from Friday are top among internet and youtube searches. In fact, throughout this week, youtube video views and online searches from a number of this week’s Tonight Show skits have topped the list.

Clearly, NBC has a hit on its hands having made what was an obviously excellent choice for the new host of one of America’s longest running shows in late night.
