The Women’s USA hockey team and Canada will face off at 9pm local time in Sochi (12 noon eastern) on Thursday February 20th. The winner takes home the Gold medal and the loser, will go home with the Silver medal. Not a bad consolation prize.
Either way, the US can be proud of the women’s hockey team – and if all goes as well as hoped, we could end up with gold medals (or at least Olympic medals) for both the men and the women from team USA on the ice.
The Men’s team USA takes the ice again on Friday (21st) night at 9pm Sochi time (12 noon eastern), also against Canada, in the men’s semi-final match. You can watch that game online as well. The winner moves on to play for gold/silver against the winner between Sweden and Finland, while the loser will play for the Bronze.
