Stanford was 7-2 in the Pac-12 conference this year, with and 11-2 record overall. Opposing them today, Michigan State only lost one game at 12-1 overall, and undefeated (8-0) in the Big Ten conference.
For Michigan State, this is their first trip back to the Rose Bowl since 1987. In more familiar surroundings, this is the second consecutive trip, however, for Stanford.
Both teams have an impressive defensive game, and analysts expect to see a very physical battle between these two top-10 teams.
From Pasadena California today, the 2013 Rose Bowl is set for kickoff coverage beginning at 5:00pm eastern.
