Web Helps Americans Find Where to Vote at Local Polling Places

Web Helps Americans Find Where to Vote at Local Polling PlacesWhile millions of Americans have recently participated in Early Voting in the Presidential Election in many states across the country over the last several days, in many areas the early voting polls are now closed. Now for many, the internet is helping them find where to vote in their area by helping them find their local polling place for Tuesday.

In just 2 days, on this Tuesday November 6th, millions of Americans are expected to turn out to cast their vote in the general election for President of the United States choosing between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. For those who opted not to take advantage of early voting or absentee voting, the only option now is to find their local polling place to vote.

One government web site offers some assistance with a variety of voting and election information. We found some good information at www.eac.gov which is the web site for the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.

In addition to election information and voting guides, the web site also has links to individual states. The links to the state map allows users to click on their state to get more specific information about voting in their area and to help them find their voting location.

Regardless of where you live or who you plan to vote for, it is important to exercise you right to vote. When you are standing in a long line for voting, and feeling a bit frustrated, think about the millions around the world who wish they could have the opportunity to stand in a line and have their voice heard.
