Winning Powerball Numbers Split Record $580 Million Jackpot for 2 WinnersTwo lucky people reportedly matched all six powerball winning numbers on Wednesday night’s record breaking jackpot drawing. The winning powerball numbers were 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 with a Powerball of 6. The two winners, who will split the jackpot, bought the winning tickets in Missouri and Arizona.

Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing had been rolling over since September which, along with the hype, had driven the jackpot to a level more than $200 million higher than the previous record set in 2006. So far no one has come forward claiming the win, and lottery officials in both states have no further information.

According to lottery officials all of the attention surrounding Wednesday’s drawing had ticket sales for the powerball lottery reaching rates as high as 130,000 a minute across the country.

The exact amount for the two winners to share is reportedly $579.9 million. If the winners opt for the cash lump sum payment, they will receive approximately $379.8 million.
